Nothing New + Awesome Video of Maura

What can be new on Christmas in Utah? Definitely not the snow. It snowed so much that if you don't shovel within a couple of hours, you'll be stuck for the rest of the winter. Fortunately, somebody came and shoveled our snow. No idea who did it, but it was awesome. This is how it's looking outside.

We spent Christmas night at home, and Chad and Heather were there, along with Geoff, Amy, Cory, and Lil Heather. Maura had an awesome time, and provided plenty of entertainment for absolutely free!

Absolute Nightmare (It'll Never End!!!)

On Sunday we had to go to Salt Lake City, and the roads in Ogden were absolutely awful. We had to shovel our way out of our house (as we do every morning, and then we have to shovel our way in during the evening), and as soon as we entered Salt Lake County, the snow magically disappeared. I mean, there was nothing! While we are completely covered in this white crap!!

I took this today on my way back home, after the sun had been shining for hours:

Update: Some pics taken around town

I've seen a few of these snow formation on roofs around town, and I still can't figure out what causes them.

People don't roll up snowmen up here. They carve them out of the piled up snow.

Insane Weather

Yeah, I'm talking about weather in a blog :P, but this is just absolutely insane. People in Utah say they like to have all the different seasons here, but we only have two: super hot and super cold. This year has been crazy though with all the snow, and it has been colder than usual. I've had to shovel my way in and out of my house a few times this week:

The little bushes that we planted in the fall have disappeared. I really hope that the snow won't kill them.

One of our nosy neighbors asked Megan why was she shoveling our sidewalk, where was I, etc. Some people desperately need jobs...
